As part of our drive to support local communities, P.P. Group has become kit sponsor for several local sports teams as we appreciate the importance of investing in grassroots sport.

Grassroots sport and recreation is a means of delivering a much wider social impact: it helps people to lead healthier lives, to develop new skills for employment and to engage with their local communities.

P.P. Group’s Managing Director, Peter McCabe, comments:

“We’re always looking for ways to help our local community and the idea of sponsoring grassroots sport is appealing as it provides so many benefits. Not only does it help people stay fit and healthy and helps develop an individual’s sporting talents, it also brings people from the local community together.

Haslingden Girls and Ladies Football Club U13 team ‘Cyclones’ last year finished runners up in the Bolton, Bury District Football League U12 Cup competition to Wigan Athletic. This season they have moved leagues to play in the East Lancashire Football Alliance U14 division, playing the age group a year above which allows them to play 11 a side.

Monton Wolves U11 last season played in a league the year above their age group, in the U12 Salford league, which they won and also qualified for two Cup finals.

Broadheath Central FC is 100 years old and currently has 1000+ players, 60+ teams with ages ranging from U5 up to veteran (35+). The team we sponsor is the club’s new Lancashire and Cheshire league team, playing in division B.

Portico Panthers U11 play in the North West Counties Rugby league. Having missed a year of games due to Covid, the children were eager to return to the field. The training kit not only looks the part but will enable the kids to continue training throughout the winter months.

We wish all the teams every success for their respective season!
