What is Press Braking?
Press braking is used to bend sheet metal accurately into specific shapes or angles to be used in the production of parts like brackets, panels and frames. It works by placing the metal between a punch and die on a press brake machine. The punch applies force and bends the metal over the die.
Why Choose P.P. Group’s Press Braking Services?
We’re constantly investing in the latest technology, machinery and training to ensure we’re staying at the forefront of our industry. Our highly skilled team of engineers, many of whom have been with us more than 20 years, use the latest equipment to deliver precise profiling and processing projects quickly.
We’re always striving to deliver the best possible experience for our customers. From the initial consultation and site visits to our ability to provide advice and guidance on ways to improve your projects or to increase material yields to reduce costs, working with P.P. Group ensures you get exactly what you’re looking for.
The Latest Press Braking Technology
We’ve invested heavily in the latest press braking technology and our machines include a laser angle measurement system (LAMS) an automatic, real-time angle measurement system that ensures accuracy during the bending process.
This provides you with a variety of benefits, including:
- Compensation for material inconsistencies
- Saves time by reducing the number of test bends required
- Improves accuracy by consistently meeting the required angle across your entire batch
- Reduces waste due to fewer scrapped or reworked parts
Delivering Quality Products With Precision For Decades
"P.P. Group offered a completely different approach to our standard manufacturing methods. Adopting the latest advances in CAD software and profiling technology helped us to reduce costs and dramatically increase profitability. I would highly recommend contacting one of their Sales team to discuss what benefits P.P. Group’s advanced CAD and cutting technologies can bring to your business."
“P.P. Group managed to profile and deliver 75 tonnes of parts within five working days, which enabled us to meet and exceed our project’s deadlines. In addition, we saved significant time on drilling due to 40 mm cut holes, provided by P.P. Group during this task.
This truly flexible and swift approach, enabled us to deliver all the tunnel cutting machines for the construction of railway lines on time.”
“P.P. Group's advanced facilities and machinery enabled us to successfully manufacture a very complex baggage shield that weighed 76 tonnes for Heathrow Airport Terminal 5.”
“P.P. Group was able to supply us with materials, to manufacture six stainless steel filters, for the waste water industry. Each of these filters was 14 m x 4 m x 6.5 m high, consisting of thousands of profiles/parts, which were laser and water jet cut, as well as rolled and pressed; in as little as just four months. Due to the short lead time of such a large order, the project won a recognised global award.”
